Nocino is the traditional liqueur of Modena coming from an ancient local tradition.
It is obtained from the infusion of green walnuts in alcohol, gathered during St. John’s night (June 23th/24th), as required by the tradition.
Food pairings: great as digestive at the end of the meal, served straight and at room temperature. It is delicious on ice cream and on fresh mascarpone, turning them into great desserts. In summer it is refreshing tasted very cold from 0° to 4 ° C.
