Nocino is the traditional liqueur of Modena. It is obtained from the infusion of selected walnuts, picked still green on the night of St. John (23/24 June) as per ancient tradition . After long maceration in alcohol, sugar and natural flavors, Nocino obtains its wonderul bouquet and taste.
Characteristics: limpid, dark brown in color, quite dense. It has an intense aroma and a lingering hint of walnut. The taste is full-bodied recalling the taste of walnuts.
Food pairings: it is excellent as digestive after a meal, served at room temperature. In summer it is refreshing tasted very cold from 0 ° to 4 °. Poured over ice cream or fresh mascarpone make them excellent desserts.
